Something clicked in Maddie’s brain this week (in a bad way) that has her suddenly afraid of water. \u00a0There was really no reason or event that sparked it. \u00a0I can recall the exact moment this past week when she decided she didn’t like the water–I was filling up her bathtub and she was happily and excitedly standing next to the tub waiting to hop in, and out of the blue she just turned to me and started whining and clinging. \u00a0But seriously, nothing had happened! \u00a0It was the strangest thing… At first I thought it was a fluke that she cried through that bath, so I gave her another a few days later, but again crying ensued. \u00a0So this weekend I pulled out the kiddie pool and all the kids sat in there with her in hopes of making it more fun…<\/p>\n

This was the result…<\/p>\n

Yup. \u00a0Sh’es crying\/whining here. \u00a0It was not a success. \u00a0The other two had a fantastic time, but Maddie pretty much just cried and scrambled to get out of the water. \u00a0It’s a conundrum.<\/p>\n

I do remember Chloe going through a bathtime aversion phase as well just a little bit older than Maddie is now. \u00a0I wonder if it’s just a stage? \u00a0But if so, why didn’t Josiah go through it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
