Piano Contest Preliminaries were this past weekend. \u00a0I had less students involved this year because of the shortened start to my school year (because of my maternity leave). \u00a0By the time I started teaching this Fall it was already mid-October so I just didn’t have time to get the older students started and the younger ones weren’t ready to tackle a contest piece after just starting back into their method books… but I did have 9 participate. \u00a0Most of them were students who had played in the past and asked me about being able to do it again. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0And I’m happy to report that 7 or the 9 get to move on to finals! \u00a0Yippie! \u00a0I’m so proud of all their hard work!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
