Chloe and I have been at odds lately.\u00a0 I attribute it to our very similar personalities.\u00a0 Very.\u00a0 Similar.\u00a0 We seem to disagree about everything lately.\u00a0 And our tone of voice (for both of us, I’m sad to say) is over half the battle these days.<\/p>\n
So Tim suggested I make an effort to take time each weekend to do something special–just Chloe and me.\u00a0 Chloe is very interested in baking and cooking, and actually checked out a book at the library this past weekend all about desserts.\u00a0 She had been excited to bake something, so that’s what we did.<\/p>\n
She chose the recipe and got out all the ingredients and even read the directions for us.\u00a0 What was her choice, you ask?<\/p>\n
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread.<\/p>\n
Um… yum?\u00a0 Well, it was an interesting pick for sure.\u00a0 She really likes pumpkin flavor.\u00a0 Actually one of her favorite things are pumpkin pancakes.\u00a0 So, I guess it wasn’t a major surprise.\u00a0 She had about 9 recipes that she had picked and had to narrow it down from.\u00a0 It took her a few minutes.<\/p>\n
The pumpkin bread was just ok (I’m don’t think I would make it again) but we had a good time together, which is the goal.<\/p>\n
