I can&#8217;t remember which one.\u00a0 It must have been Maddie or Levi because we were living in this house) one of our friends brought us a meal which included homemade fried rice!\u00a0 Tim and I agreed that it was scrumptious and I asked her to teach me how to make it.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to post the recipe below (in a &#8220;read more&#8221; tab since I feel so special that I know how to do that now).\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>And because every post is better with a picture&#8230; here is my attempt at a picture of my fried rice and Teriyaki chicken.\u00a0 Apparently rice and chicken don&#8217;t photograph well&#8230; it looks a bit sad and washed out.\u00a0 But let me tell you&#8211;it&#8217;s delicious!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/amadeusacademy.com\/family\/?attachment_id=14403\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14403\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14403\" src=\"http:\/\/amadeusacademy.com\/family\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fried-rice-with-chix-R.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fried-rice-with-chix-R.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fried-rice-with-chix-R-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fried-rice-with-chix-R-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #008080; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Fried Rice Recipe<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: (compliments of Lisa Tindall)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make 2 servings of Rice in rice maker (this is the equivalent of 1.5 cups of dry rice)<\/li>\n<li>1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables (but after you cook them in the microwave take out all the green beans.\u00a0 I normally just set them aside and the kids snack on them)\u00a0 Although I should add that when Lisa gave me the recipe she did not tell me to use frozen vegetables.\u00a0 I use them because I am lazy.\u00a0 Normally you can sautee any vegetables that you have on hand.<\/li>\n<li>4 eggs scrambled<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 &#8211; 1 cup of diced onion sauteed (in olive oil) together with&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>1 clove of garlic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mix together:\u00a0 cooked rice, cooked vegetables, scrambled eggs, sauteed onions and garlic in large pan and add soy sauce to taste (usually about 4 Tbl).\u00a0 Done!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fried rice has always seemed like a daunting thing to make.\u00a0 So, whenever we would have an Asian inspired main dish we would eat it over noodles or mashed potatoes or occasionally plain rice but that was pretty boring.\u00a0 Then after we had one of our babies (ha!
