Chloe is sick.  She spent practically the whole day snuggled on the couch or on our bed with a fever.  Poor girl looks and sounds so miserable, but she has (thankfully) not thrown up yet.  I know, knock on wood&#8230;  She just has a really high fever and severe cold like symptoms.  There has been a lot of strep going around, however, so we&#8217;re going to see if we can get her in tomorrow to get checked.  If it is strep I want to be sure we get her on medicine quickly so she doesn&#8217;t contaminate all my students.\u00a0\u00a0 Hopefully we&#8217;ll be able to get her in tomorrow morning and find out what it is.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not at all worried that it&#8217;s something serious, but still it&#8217;s nice to know.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, contest is less than a week away.\u00a0 By this time next week I&#8217;ll be completely done with everything at the U of M&#8211;I&#8217;ll just have to spend the next day helping tabulate all of the results&#8230; but at least the stressful part will be over.\u00a0 I have a tedious &#8220;to do&#8221; list to accomplish tomorrow but nothing too big and after that is completed, things will be coming along nicely.\u00a0 Which I guess they should be since I only have five more days to get stuff done!<\/p>\n<p>Chloe and I watched Monster&#8217;s Inc. yesterday night.\u00a0 I just love that movie.\u00a0 I was a little worried that she might be afraid of it, but she wasn&#8217;t&#8211;it helps that there is a little girl in it that she liked.\u00a0 I remember thinking the girl in that movie was the cutest (cartoon) girl I had ever seen and hoping that I had a daughter as cute as that someday (even though I knew she wasn&#8217;t <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">really<\/span> real).\u00a0 And I have to say, after watching it again last night I had to laugh because I find Chloe just as adorable.\u00a0 Plus, of course, there is the added bonus of Chloe <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">actually<\/span> being real&#8230; haha!\u00a0 It&#8217;s just amusing to me how your perspective changes over the years.<\/p>\n<p>I have 6 of my own students participating in Finals this weekend&#8211;I&#8217;m excited to see how they do.\u00a0 It would be fun to have at least one in the Honor&#8217;s recital again this year.\u00a0 Plus I&#8217;ll actually be able to enjoy the recital because I&#8217;ve already said I won&#8217;t be the Usher Chair this year.\u00a0 Which is probably a really good thing since I&#8217;ll be a month and a half away from my due date and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">very<\/span> huge by then.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of huge&#8211;I&#8217;ve started to dip into more and more of my maternity clothes.\u00a0 It&#8217;s fun to rediscover clothes that I really only wore for a few months before.\u00a0 I&#8217;m a little worried about what I&#8217;m going to wear this weekend since I don&#8217;t have a lot of &#8220;fancy&#8221; maternity clothes and I want to look really put together&#8230; maybe a trip to goodwill is in order.\u00a0 I&#8217;m over half way through my pregnancy now and starting to feel much more pregnant.\u00a0 And just this past week I&#8217;ve started to feel the baby kicking a ton.\u00a0 I had forgotten how much I enjoy feeling the baby move around.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, it&#8217;s official.
