Chloe, excited & ready to go celebrate Thanksgiving!<\/p><\/div>\n

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving!\u00a0 This year I’ve made a point to talk with Chloe about being thankful and what that means.\u00a0 It’s been wonderful to take time and think about what we’re truly thankful for.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 I feel incredibly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends, two adorable children and a husband who knows my weird quirks and loves me anyway!<\/p>\n

Thanksgiving morning Tim played football with a bunch of church friends then we made our way out to the Bakers for the rest of the day.\u00a0 We had a delightful time eating and socializing.\u00a0 It was fun to just hang out with family with nothing pressing to do.\u00a0 It’s become a Thanksgiving day “tradition” to sit and read through the Black Friday flyers “ooohing” and “ahhing” over the deals,\u00a0 Plus, it give us “crazies” who want to go shopping, time to map out what stores we want to hit the next day.<\/p>\n

Speaking of Black Friday shopping…\u00a0 Tim & Jen decided to brave the crowds and try going to Walmart.\u00a0 Apparently they were starting their big sale at 10:00 on Thanksgiving night so instead of having to get up disgustingly early to shop, you could just stay up late.\u00a0 Sound appealing? If you said “yes” then you were like the rest of the world it would seem.\u00a0 Or at least Shakopee.\u00a0 Tim said it was crazier than the state fair–and that he would NEVER do that again.\u00a0 He said it was wall to wall people\u00a0 sometimes grabbing handfuls of stuff and all of the items were all set up in the isles making it impossible to move anywhere.\u00a0 If he hadn’t been with Jen he said he would have turned around and just come home.\u00a0 But he persevered.\u00a0 Out of the 5 things he went looking for he was only able to get 2 before they sold out–in the first 10 min.\u00a0 Yikes!<\/p>\n

I, on the other hand, chose to get up early and go.\u00a0 The crowds were MUCH more manageable and I was able to get a bunch of things.\u00a0 I think of all the items I went looking for there was only 1 I couldn’t find.\u00a0 Amusingly, the longest line I stood in was at JoAnn fabric here in town.\u00a0 I waited for over 40 min. but it was worth it to get fabric and supplies to make a new piano bench cover at a really good discount.\u00a0 So, after this weekend we have pretty much all of our Christmas shopping done!\u00a0 Yippie!<\/p>\n

Yesterday we were pretty much useless since both Tim and I were dead tired from being up late\/early shopping so we didn’t do anything interesting.\u00a0 I didn’t get back home from shopping until after noon and then I spent another hour or two wrapping presents…\u00a0 So, today we needed to actually get some things done!\u00a0 Chloe and I made pancakes to start our morning on the right foot…<\/p>\n

After a yummy breakfast we dived into a busy day:\u00a0 cleaning the house, SIX loads of laundry, another trip to JoAnn fabric, and of course putting up all of our Christmas decorations!\u00a0 So, now our house is clean and<\/span> festive!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
