On Sunday we started off with breakfast together in Baker’s condo where we were able to make a game plan for the rest of the week.\u00a0 We planned out the big events (like Schlitterbahn & Sea World) and then mapped out other small things people wanted to fit in.\u00a0 The rest of the day we enjoyed hanging out, unpacking, swimming in the pool, and then a nice BBQ supper in town.<\/p>\n
Monday was the big day:\u00a0 Schlitterbahn.\u00a0 This was the big event we planned our trip around.\u00a0 It was located in New Braunfels, an hour and a half drive, so we left early to arrive as they were opening at 10:00.\u00a0\u00a0 And it was worth it to leave so early!\u00a0 Tim and I were about 30 behind the rest of the group and by the time we pulled in at 10:30 the place was just buzzing with activity.\u00a0 The rest of the group had secured a spot for all of our stuff as well as found life jackets for the kids and inner tubes for the rides.\u00a0 The best way I can describe the park was like an amusement park but covered in water.\u00a0 Everyone was either in water shoes or barefoot everywhere we went.\u00a0 There were pools and slides and things squirting water and rides everywhere.\u00a0 At first I was a little self-conscious about wearing my suit all day, but I quickly realized there was no way anyone would notice me.\u00a0 Let’s just say after a while you can get desensitized to seeing a lot of skin on people that shouldn’t be showing that much skin!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Chloe and Josiah had a blast playing in the smaller kiddie pool right next to our things and everyone was definitely pooped by the time we made our way home.\u00a0 We were sporting a few good sunburns the next day!\u00a0 Here are a few pictures (although it was hard to take many pictures because I was worried about my camera getting wet!):<\/p>\n

<\/a>Kristen got Josiah to finally fall asleep in his stroller! Yippie!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>After his nap he was MUCH happier!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We're ready to go home after a long day in the sun!<\/p><\/div>\n
I was impressed with how green the hills were in Texas.\u00a0 I had always imagined all of Texas being flat and brown with a lone cactus and tumbleweed blowing across a dirt road.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude00\u00a0 So I was surprised to find curvy, hilly roads!<\/p>\n
