{"id":5981,"date":"2013-01-01T14:18:06","date_gmt":"2013-01-01T20:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amadeusacademy.com\/family\/?p=5981"},"modified":"2013-01-01T14:18:06","modified_gmt":"2013-01-01T20:18:06","slug":"hello-2013-a-new-beginning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/?p=5981","title":{"rendered":"Hello 2013: A new beginning!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>January 1st.\u00a0 A new year.\u00a0 I admit we missed ringing in 2013 and were in bed <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">long<\/span> before midnight&#8211;the joys of having little kids who don&#8217;t understand the concept of <em>sleeping in<\/em>.\u00a0 Tim was a gem and ventured out into the bitter cold\u00a0 this morning to let me start off the new year with a delicious cup of coffee from Caribou.\u00a0 It was wonderful.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>So, here&#8217;s to a new year full of endless possibilities. \u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been thinking of\u00a0 new year&#8217;s resolutions and my vision for the next year.\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;ve decided that I really have goals than resolutions.\u00a0 Sure maybe they are synonymous but I&#8217;m learning as I get older that my will-power to hold to something is waning.\u00a0 So, I&#8217;ve decided I favor the word goal over resolution.\u00a0 That way I can set a goal to accomplish &#8220;X&#8221; number of things this year and if I have a really bad month, no big deal, because I still have more months to catch back up again.\u00a0 Some of my goals are very broad, but some are specific.\u00a0 Of course, another thing I&#8217;ve also discovered about myself as I get older, is that (how does that saying go again?) &#8220;my mouth is much bigger than my stomach.&#8221;\u00a0 I make extensive lists and plans and then am only able to accomplish a tiny portion of what I want.\u00a0 Maybe that should be a goal&#8211;that I actually try and do what I set my mind up to do!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still working on figuring out what exactly I want on my goals list for this year, but here are a couple think I <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">know<\/span> I&#8217;m adding:<\/p>\n<p>* Finish Chloe&#8217;s First Year Scrapbook<\/p>\n<p>* Finish Josiah&#8217;s First Year Scrapbook<\/p>\n<p>* Read &#8220;The Blessed Woman&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>* Lose weight<\/p>\n<p>* Fill the remaining open lesson slots<\/p>\n<p>* Practice piano more<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 1st.\u00a0 A new year.\u00a0 I admit we missed ringing in 2013 and were in bed long before midnight&#8211;the joys of having little kids who don&#8217;t understand the concept of sleeping in.\u00a0 Tim was a gem and ventured out into the bitter cold\u00a0 this morning to let me start off the new year with a [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[43,42],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5981"}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=5981"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5981\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":5984,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5981\/revisions\/5984"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=5981"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=5981"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=5981"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
