I hope you all had a fantastic 4th of July.\u00a0 Our was wonderful.<\/p>\n

\"4th<\/a><\/p>\n

It had been a couple of stressful days around here leading up to the 4th, but we finally have some information to share:<\/p>\n

OUR HOUSE HAS SOLD!\u00a0\u00a0 We had a showing on Friday morning and they submitted an offer on Friday afternoon.\u00a0 We countered and they countered and we finally all agreed… But we weren’t convinced that this was really going to happen yet, since our last offer fell through after the home inspection.\u00a0 So, the inspection was Wednesday morning and all they wanted added was a simple $40 addition to the home warranty for the water softener.\u00a0 Whew!\u00a0 We were totally floored!\u00a0 I mean, very very very happy, but I was still really surprised that they didn’t find anything else to complain about after the inspection…\u00a0 Especially since the last one pulled out after the inspection–we were starting to worry that there was something we didn’t know about this house!<\/p>\n

At this point we are only waiting on the appraisal before we really breath a sigh of relief (which they say will happen in the next week or two).\u00a0 And if there are no unforeseen crazy scenarios to thwart this process we are scheduled for an August 30th closing date.<\/p>\n

Of course then we have the issue of needing to find a new house for us…. we did go house hunting this past weekend (after receiving the offer on Friday) and we found a PERFECT house that we loved.\u00a0 It had been on the market less than a week and we made an offer that day (above list price) but we were outbid.\u00a0 I’m bummed (because it was so awesome) but I also know that we need to be patient on God’s timing.\u00a0 The last thing I want to do now is try to get ourselves into a house that we’re not meant to be after all this waiting to actually sell our current house!\u00a0 So, I’ll continue to watch the market like a hawk and see what opens up.\u00a0 I’m just sure the perfect house is out there just waiting to come on the market!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Oh, and Happy 4th of July!\u00a0 We relaxed at home most of the day.\u00a0 Chloe and I went to an afternoon parade with the Bakers and Jen, then we came home and watched Despicable Me, roasted S’mores in our fire pit and then watched the fireworks on T.V.\u00a0 (Yup.\u00a0 On T.V.\u00a0 It works out better that way, since we don’t want to keep the kids up that late and we’re not big fans of mosquitoes.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09 )\u00a0 All in all a great day.<\/p>\n

And the best part is having a messy house this morning and knowing I can keep it messy since we’re done with showings!!!!!!!<\/p>\n
