And that makes me happy!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It feels good to officially be in the month that we&#8217;re moving.\u00a0 We can now see our moving date without having to flip the page on the calendar.\u00a0 I am finding such joy in knowing this chaos is soon coming to an end. \u00a0 There are many things that have been driving me crazy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not knowing which box things are packed in<\/li>\n<li>Or more importantly if they are in our FIRST set of boxes we packed (back in March) and in the storage unit or in our SECOND set of boxes we packed (this summer)<\/li>\n<li>Only having out enough stuff to live a short while one&#8230; so we keep running out.\u00a0 Like cups for example.\u00a0 We wash cups a lot.<\/li>\n<li>Not having clothes out for the kids for when the weather get cooler.\u00a0 When we moved it was HOT, so I packed away all of their long sleeves and pants&#8230; so I&#8217;ve had to dig, dig, dig to find things.\u00a0 (But I&#8217;m happy to report, I&#8217;ve now found enough to get us through October until I really unpack.)<\/li>\n<li>And then let&#8217;s not even talk about things about the actual house that drive me crazy (aka: holes in the screens of all the windows, the lights in the house flicker (like a brown-out), broken stove, toilet that doesn&#8217;t flush right, not enough space in the kitchen so I have food stored by the bedrooms, mice problems, holes in the walls, huge amounts of wasps all along the roof line&#8230; you get the picture) that I would totally fix if we were staying here, but really aren&#8217;t worth our effort or money if we aren&#8217;t staying.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But none of that compares to the one<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> most annoying<\/span> thing that drives me INSANE about this whole moving process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">HOUSE SHOWINGS<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This by far is the most frustrating part of selling a house and moving.\u00a0 I was so excited to finally be done with the showings when we sold our house (We had 47 showings in 3 months!).\u00a0 I never dreamed that we would end up living in a rental where we have to continue to have showings.\u00a0 And this is doubly frustrating because there is a severe lack of communication between us and the realtor selling this house and the lady who owns this house and the realtors coming to see this house.\u00a0 I won&#8217;t go into a lot of details because I really don&#8217;t want to bad-mouth anyone, but it&#8217;s been extremely frustrating on many levels.\u00a0 Oh, and we now have an open house this weekend, too.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not thrilled about that&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>However, with all my negativity, I should point out that there are some really good points about this house too.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure I would go as far as to say I&#8217;ll <em>miss<\/em> them, but I&#8217;m enjoying them for now.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Large back yard<\/li>\n<li>Gorgeous huge tree in the backyard (pictures to come soon)<\/li>\n<li>Laundry right next to Dende&#8217;s kennel, so if he has an accident in the night I just toss them right in the washer<\/li>\n<li>No spidery basement (since it&#8217;s a split level)<\/li>\n<li>My studio and waiting room are far from the noise of the kids<\/li>\n<li>Eat in Kitchen<\/li>\n<li>High ceiling heights (which are probably standard but feel high to us!)<\/li>\n<li>Quiet street<\/li>\n<li>Nice Neighbor<\/li>\n<li>Close proximity to Chloe&#8217;s Preschool<\/li>\n<li>Window about the kitchen sink<\/li>\n<li>Did I mention the wonderful backyard?\u00a0 It&#8217;s the best!\u00a0 Okay, okay, I can honestly say I WILL miss this&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See?\u00a0 There are always things to be grateful for if I just start looking.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 And in all seriousness, I am incredibly thankful for being able to live here.\u00a0 God knew where we needed to be for now.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It feels good to officially be in the month that we&#8217;re moving.\u00a0 We can now see our moving date without having to flip the page on the calendar.\u00a0 I am finding such joy in knowing this chaos is soon coming to an end. \u00a0 There are many things that have been driving me crazy: Not [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[118],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6900"}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=6900"}],"version-history":[{"count":5,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6900\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":6907,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6900\/revisions\/6907"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=6900"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=6900"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=6900"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
