{"id":7413,"date":"2014-02-11T13:46:22","date_gmt":"2014-02-11T19:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amadeusacademy.com\/family\/?p=7413"},"modified":"2014-02-11T13:46:22","modified_gmt":"2014-02-11T19:46:22","slug":"officially-signed-up-for-my-first-5k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/?p=7413","title":{"rendered":"Officially signed up for my first 5K"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/amadeusacademy.com\/family\/?attachment_id=7414\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7414\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-7414\" alt=\"running\" src=\"http:\/\/amadeusacademy.com\/family\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/running.jpg\" width=\"313\" height=\"476\" srcset=\"http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/running.jpg 497w, http:\/\/friesens.inkingmythinking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/running-197x300.jpg 197w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 313px) 100vw, 313px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yup, I&#8217;ve decided to just bite the bullet and sign up for my first 5K of the season.\u00a0 It&#8217;s actually the race that goes right next to our back yard, so the kids can sit on the deck and cheer me on as I <del>run<\/del> &#8230; er,\u00a0 mean, <em><strong>slowly<\/strong> <\/em>jog by!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s called the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/celebrationofchildren5k\/home\/information\">Celebration of Children 5K<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The race is on June 7th.\u00a0 Which is coincidentally the same day that one of Tim&#8217;s cousin&#8217;s is getting married so I&#8217;m going to have to run quick right away in the morning and then get booking it to the wedding which is a few hours away.\u00a0 We&#8217;re not exactly sure what time the wedding is going to be, so I sort of took a gamble signing up for it but I&#8217;m extremely hopeful that the timing will all work out.\u00a0 And I really wanted to do this race since it&#8217;s literally right around our neighborhood.\u00a0 Also, as a tid-bit of random information:\u00a0 it is organized by a family that I used to teach piano.\u00a0 They are a delightful family and I&#8217;m happy to help support them and in turn support our schools.\u00a0 I guess a portion of their proceeds go to the Shakopee P.E. programs.\u00a0 See?\u00a0 It&#8217;s a win win!<\/p>\n<p>And for now, I&#8217;m going to keep on working out and hopefully once it actually warms up I&#8217;ll be able to start jogging outside.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 That would be good, eh?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yup, I&#8217;ve decided to just bite the bullet and sign up for my first 5K of the season.\u00a0 It&#8217;s actually the race that goes right next to our back yard, so the kids can sit on the deck and cheer me on as I run &#8230; er,\u00a0 mean, slowly jog by!
