My kids have a food attitude.\u00a0 It’s true.<\/p>\n

However, I wasn’t aware of it until they went to stay with my folks for a few days.\u00a0 They are picky eaters.\u00a0 Which is so funny to me, because I’ve never really considered them to be picky.\u00a0 But then we started thinking about the food that we eat–and we mostly eat the same things over and over.\u00a0\u00a0 Mainly out of convenience and cost, not really for any particular reason.\u00a0 So while they eat many different foods, they only eat the SAME foods–for example PB&J sandwiches–but always creamy PB and grape jelly.<\/p>\n

So, I’ve started “operation food exposure 2015.”<\/p>\n

And this week at the store we picked up variations on our old favorites:<\/p>\n

That’s right–we went for EXTRA crunchy PB and the seediest jelly I could spot.\u00a0 I know it’s going to be hit or miss on many of these item with the kids, but I need them to at least try them for a few days to be exposed to different things.\u00a0 And who knows?\u00a0 Maybe they’ll discover their new favorite thing?<\/p>\n

When I came home with the Raspberry preserves Tim shook his head and said, “good luck with that” but I’m pleased to say that it wasn’t a total flop.\u00a0 In fact Josiah loved it immediately and Chloe is coming around after days of trying it she didn’t even flinch at the seeds this morning.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
