We have a bush next to our house in the back yard.\u00a0 I think it’s a bush.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s too rounded to be a tree.\u00a0 Actually maybe it’s a shrub?\u00a0\u00a0 I’m not sure. \u00a0 The one thing I do know is that it is VERY happy in our back yard.\u00a0 We trimmed it way down at the beginning of the summer and it has grown like crazy.\u00a0 Like cartoon crazy.\u00a0 Like a weed crazy.\u00a0 (Hmmmm…. maybe it’s a weed?)<\/p>\n

So the time came to finally stop the weed\/shrub\/bush from taking over the world.\u00a0 So we (and by we, I mean Tim) went to work trimming it down.\u00a0 It was a messy process, but the kids didn’t mind.<\/p>\n

The kids were “helping”<\/p><\/div>\n

Actually Josiah enjoyed taking a stick from the pile and pretending it was a sword and chopping at the bush as Tim cut it away.\u00a0 It was pretty funny.<\/p>\n

I caught a picture of him in serious contemplation of his next best attack on the bush.\u00a0 He took it very seriously.<\/p>\n

Here’s the final massacre<\/del> result.\u00a0 It’s not totally cut down because that’s as far as the trimmers would allow him to go.\u00a0 We would need a bigger saw or blade to get the larger sticks and roots.\u00a0 I actually expect it to keep on living and grow back just fine… We’re undecided if we want to keep it or not right now.<\/p>\n
