I had another check-up this morning with my midwife. Nothing new to report. Yes, I am indeed still pregnant. 😉 I like these first visits because (laugh if you want!) I need the confirmation that there is actually a baby in there. I’m still feeling hunky dory and nothing has changed.
Oh, I take that back.
My super power has returned: Super Smelling Power.
I think my name should be “Increda-Smeller”… or, um… maybe something cooler than that… I have a very strong sense of smell these days. I remember it being that way with all my pregnancies. In our old house Tim had to take the garbage out of the kitchen every day (or so it seemed!). The good news about my super smelling power is that it doesn’t make me nauseous or anything–I’m just very aware of smells. For example, our main floor bathroom was smelling a little bit off. So to me that meant it smelled TERRIBLE and to Tim he shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn’t smell anything. It was bothering me so much that today I Pine-Sol-ed the whole room. Walls, floors, toilet, sink and pedestal. I even washed the curtain. I guess if it still smells, it might just be in my head! 😉
That is so interesting. Funny how pregnancy has such varied effects on us all! I can’t believe that when pregnant I couldn’t stand chocolate or french fries. And those are things I normally love!
