Today Chloe and I went to St. Cloud to spend the afternoon with Shannon and little baby Xavier. We had a delightful time just hanging out and chatting. And Chloe loved the two cats that live there–although at one point she was trying to draw with a pencil on their faces which they weren’t too crazy about. 🙂
Shannon was gracious enough to pull the toddler chair out of the nursery for Chloe to sit on and read some books, but apparently she left it unattended for too long and Van, the cat, thought it would be a nice place for a nap.
On the way up it looked like it might rain us out, but it turned out to be a gorgeous afternoon after all, so we went for a nice long walk around their neighborhood. Xavier was the perfect little baby and slept almost the whole time we were there–even right through our walk!
And then Chloe thought she should walk the stroller a little more once we got back, which is highly amusing since she can’t see where she’s going…
But the most interesting thing that Chloe found was the baby car seat. She wanted very much to sit in it, but she was just too big. Finally I convinced her to buckle her giraffe in instead so she worked on that for quite some time. She is definitely a first born child. She knows what she wants to do and will work and work and work at it until it is just perfect. And sometimes she’ll get quite frustrated when things don’t work just as she thinks they should… which is quite entertaining to watch.
We are so glad you come to visit..I was actually really sad to see you leave. I miss living up the road from you. Maybe some day we can live close to each other…until then I look forward to our next visit. BTW the pictures you took are wonderful..Van looks so comfy in the chair..
