We had a gorgeous Mother’s Day weekend here.  Originally it was supposed to be rainy for most of it, but we didn’t end up with any rain!  In fact it was sunny and lovely most of the weekend.  So, I took advantage of the sunshine and mowed the lawn for the first time! It’s always a little weird on the first mowing, since parts of it really don’t need to be mowed yet, but others REALLY need it… but it felt good to get it done anyway.

Then on Sunday we enjoyed a lovely day:  going to church, a delicious cup of Caribou Coffee, eating Chipotle (my choice!) for lunch, I took a nap (I know!  Super strange for me!), we went on a walk/bike ride/roller blade/skateboading as a family and then Tim took the big kids to swimming lessons while I stayed home and called my Mom and made waffles for supper (and for the next few weeks.  I actually made 6 batches of waffles.  What would that be called?  A Sextuplet batch?  Either way, it was a lot of waffles.

The kids made me cute cards in church and school.  Here are the ones from church.  I love seeing what things they write about each year.  My personal favorite this year is “She give good hugs”  😉  Oh and “Her voice is beautiful.”

Maddie somehow got the wrong impression at church and thought when we got home that she was going to open a bunch of gifts.  She was devastated when we told her there were no gifts for her.  Ha!
