I’m leading a new monthly Women’s Bible study at church. We’re going to go through the study, “Seamless” by Angie Smith. I’m excited to connect with more women at church and help them see the old testament connected to the new testament.
But you should know, I wasn’t actually looking to start a small group. It actually makes me super nervous. But God works in mysterious ways. Or sometimes God works in obvious ways–like 3 of my friends asking me to lead a small group and do this book study. Ha! So, here I am. And I am excited. Well, excited and nervous. But I know I am just the organizer of the group and he can do all the heart work. So, pray for me, and the group. We’re meeting the last Sunday night of each month.
Here’s the short promo video for the series in case you’re curious:
I’m sure you’re going to do great!!
This looks like a great study. I hope you enjoy leading it and that you all grow through the time together.
This year I’m reading through the bible again – I haven’t for quite a while now. But I’m always reminded of how awesome God is. This time I’m doing it a little different and really enjoying it. Every day I read three chapters in a history book (like early OT and eventually the Gospels), then two chapters in a wisdom book (like Proverbs, Psalms and the rest of the NT) and one chapter (except two on weekends) of a prophesy book. It is interesting to see it all tied together. Right now I’m in Deuteronomy, Galatians (or Psalms on the weekend) and Jeremiah. I used to dread the days and days in the prophesy books, because they are so incredibly depressing. But doing a little of it every day makes it easier and helps me see it connected to the instructions God so clearly gave them earlier when they were just setting out.
