Yup. Josiah caught the “cold bug” going around. We though we had all missed it after making it through Christmas and New Year’s without anyone getting sick, but I guess I counted my blessings too soon. He started to cough a little on Saturday morning and by that evening he was stuffed up and miserable looking. It doesn’t seem to really damper his spirits much, but it’s making it very hard to eat (since he’s so stuffed up) as well as sleep. He keeps coughing and waking himself up.
The funny part was that we had finally finished the transition of the two of them into the same room and had 2-3 nights of perfect uninterrupted sleep for everyone… and now I’m putting him back into our closet for the next few days since he got sick. But, at least I know that it will work again when I put him back in her room. 🙂
Today I had lessons most of the day since there wasn’t any school. It’s been an exhausting couple of days. I’ve been working on cleaning the basement (more on that later) all weekend as well as purging our file cabinets, pantry and old Christmas decorations… It’s nice to get rid of things and not feel like I’m suffocating in my own house. I also feel very accomplished/domestic for the day since I was able to teach 7 hours of lessons AND get the laundry done AND make homemade hamburger buns from scratch for supper. Yay me!
But now I’m dead tired. Happy Monday everyone!
Sorry to hear JD is sick. We still are not over it, so it hangs on for QUITE a while.
Other than that, sounds like a very industrious day!
