(Be warned: this post is a bit on the “woe-is-me” side of things…. so, you’ve been warned. Now onto complaining!)
Got up to teach morning lessons.
Noticed I wasn’t feeling well, but ran to Goodwill with Chloe to find a shirt to wear for this weekend anyway.
15 attempts later walked out with a shirt.
Came home for lunch. I didn’t eat since I was still feeling “off.”
Tried to take a nap.
Spent the rest of the afternoon in bed / running to the bathroom, sick.
Tim helped me cancel my lessons. I cried because I felt so defeated. Of all the days to get sick…
I’ve only had to cancel lessons 1 time in 12 years of teaching for being sick. Now that makes 2.
I’m feeling a little better now. I hope I can sleep off whatever this is!
*Hugs* Feel better soon!!
So sorry to hear you are sick. That sometimes happens when you are under a lot of stress, and you certainly are. I guess God knew you needed an afternoon in bed more than the kids needed their lessons. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Love you,
Mom
Erica, ease up on yourself. Take the much needed rest for yourself, your family, your students, and the
contest. Thankfully Tim is moderately capable of caring for the children and household needs. Now if you could teach him how to give piano lessons so when these down days hit and he could step in, that would be a well trained man.
Better yesterday, than this weekend. I know it’s hard….I hate having to cancel daycare because I’m sick.
What kind of shirt do you need for Chloe?
Kristen, the shirt was for me–I just took Chloe along so Tim could have a break. 🙂
SORRY Erica, I have a feeling that came from my family! Hope you feel better soon
