I admit I haven’t been feeling much like writing lately. It’s been quite hot and that’s draining on everyone–obviously Tim the most! I have so much I want to get done this summer and I’m feeling like I just can’t get anything done. The days slip away so quickly. Or more accurately: the mornings/afternoons slip away so quickly and by the time Tim gets home I’m so drained that all I want to do is flop on the floor and not move.
So, what’s been going on around here? Let’s see…
~ we enjoyed going to the beach twice this week!
~ JD is a walking machine now–and so happy about it!
~ We’ve started work on our new church building. So far we’ve torn out the concession stand, torn down the wall of tiles behind, torn up all he flooring in the front lobby area, cleaned a ton and then countless tiny things (like lawn care, air conditioning tuning, etc.)
~ I started Chloe on her very first piano lessons. She loves it. 🙂
~ Tonight I tried to make a new “time-out bottle” for Chloe that didn’t work quite as I planned… if I can fix it I’ll post pictures tomorrow. The idea is letting the glitter settle at the bottom–which should take a few minutes. However mine is a bit thick and doesn’t actually EVER settle!
That’s cool about piano lessons for Chloe. I just ordered some piano books for Ethan and Audrey and started to teach Ethan to play scales. Fun!
It IS so incredibly hot. Looks like we’re going to get a break soon.
You guys are about the same age we were when we were helping with Chetek Alliance’s building project. You seem so young, but I guess we were, too. Can’t wait to see it when it is done.
Tell Chloe that I’m proud of her learning to play piano.
