I must admit I’ve never seen anything like that. The brown railing must collect more heat than the sun actually puts out. Or something…
I took a picture of sort of upside down icicles. They had let go at the top and looked like they were growing up from where they were connected to the ice below them.
Looks like the snow is tiptoeing across the railing.
