Corn Stalk

DSC_0004

There is it–the lone corn stalk. It didn’t get very big, but it was “replanted” quite late in the season…

See?  It’s pretty funny isn’t it?  I feel he’s so lonely over here looking longingly at his fellow corn stalks happily having a party across the street.   My neighbor must this it’s amusing too seeing as he’s clearly mowing AROUND the stalk.  🙂

That is cute! The amazing thing is that he picked it out as being a corn plant before he mowed over it the first time! It must have been pretty big already.

That has happened in my back yard, and I’m definitely farther away from a field then that neighbor is from that field. All I can figure out is a squirrel brought a cob of corn through the yard or bird droppings, as crass as that might sound, had corn in it and the corn kernel got planted (no pun intended).
