Writing about all the big & little things

Goodbye July, Hello August!

Well, I don’t know what happened–somehow it’s been a whole week since I last posted!  We haven’t been doing anything particularly exciting, just adjusting to the new schedule and routine of life.   This week we did a variety of things:

  • Playdate at the park with a bunch of ladies/kids from church
  • Enjoyed a few bike rides/walks
  • Met up with the Bakers at the beach
  • Attended a Birthday party for one of Josiah’s friends at church
  • Visited a brand new splash pad/park with Auntie Jen
  • Purchased all of Chloe’s school supplies and got them ready
  • Had a few students (and their families) over to meet Maddie
  • Went to a Musical Cabaret that a few of my students were singing in

Of course, I haven’t remembered to bring my camera ANYWHERE lately, so even though we’ve been doing a lot, I don’t have any fun pictures.  I’m going to make a point to carry my camera more this week.  The only two pictures I have are these:

Sounds like a fun summer week. Have you had your lessons sign-up day, yet?

Nope, not yet. I’m actually doing sign-up day a little later this year in hopes that more families will have all of their other activity schedules by then. So my sign-up day will be August 17th. But my first day back teaching isn’t until September 14th because of labor day making school start later.

Our school starts on September 1 – before Labor Day! So I’m planning to start lessons right away that week, I think. I’m getting the notification out to my students this week, so they can start signing up.
