Well, we had a wonderful time visiting Shannon yesterday. And it wasn’t as chaotic as I thought it would be. Maddie slept most of the time, and Shannon’s little Sam had a 4 hour nap in the afternoon, which meant it was really just like having the 4 kids again.
They have a couple big fruit trees in their yard (pear and apple) so we spent a little time cleaning up a ton of fruit that had been chewed on by a rouge squirrel and tossed half-haphazardly to the ground fallen off. And since the area was fruit free, Shannon jumped on the opportunity to mow it quick. That’s true friendship, folks. Picking up rotten fruit and mowing the lawn. I love it. No, seriously, I do love it. 🙂
We filled two bags worth of fruit. That bag is FILLED–It actually ripped as I was carrying it… That’s my little toy shovel to help pick up the really rotten fruit. I’m a bit of a pansy apparently. I don’t like the feeling of my fingers sinking into soft rotting fruit. Haha! (Sorry the picture it blurry. Chloe took it)
Shannon took some amazing pictures while we were there. She posted them on Facebook too, so you might have already seen them, but they are just too cute not to post again. I’ll post the complete picture of the 6 kids together later. That one deserves its own post. 🙂
