Writing about all the big & little things

A puppy named Darien

Ooooh, I bummed.  I was doing so great at posting every day except Sundays and then I missed posting this Saturday.  Sigh.  Oh well–what’s done is done.  🙂

Baker’s were over Saturday for their piano lessons and they brought the newest member of their family–a brand new (7 week old) puppy!  Seeing the adorable puppy brought back so many memories of Dende as a puppy.  And I had forgotten all about their sharp little teeth!  Chloe and Josiah had a really great time seeing the puppy and trying to hold him and pet him.  It was adorable.  They’ve named him Darien–here’s a link to Kristen’s post about the puppy.  🙂

We Took the Plunge

I found it especially adorable when he would play in Dende’s new bed–he is just so tiny!

In other news I finally feel like myself again.  I took a bit of time over the weekend to clean and organize and do more loads of laundry than I want to count……. but by Saturday night felt great.  I even said to Tim, “hey, wanna watch a movie?”  So we watched that wonderful classic “Funny Farm” with Chevy Chase.  I love that movie… haha!

I hope you’re all having a FANTASTIC Monday!

Another problem…

Not a problem to do with contest though…

I just found out that the church that I normally hold my studio recitals doesn’t have the baby grand piano anymore.  Apparently the piano player left the church and took her piano with her.  I didn’t even know that she owned the piano… but now it’s gone.

And now I’m going to have do a little searching around Shakopee to see if there are any other places that we would be able to hold our recitals.  I’m a bit bummed  because we’ve had our recitals at the same place for so long that it was comfortable.  Everyone knew how to get there, and the church has always been so nice to me (even offering to let me teach out of one of their classrooms this past fall if I wasn’t able to find a rental house that would work!) and it used to be nice and close.  Of course, now it’s not as close anymore… 🙂 But for someone who doesn’t like change, this bums me out.

So, onto new (and hopefully better) things!  And who knows, maybe I’ll find an even better place, right?!  😉  And Shakopee is a big town, so I’m sure there’s places out there.  I just have to start looking.  So, that’s what I’ll be doing this next week!

Still chaotic around here

Well, I didn’t finish up until well into the evening yesterday and now this morning everyone is getting their results already (isn’t that fast!?) and calling/emailing about problems and complaints.  So… another day of chaos still.

In lieu of not having time to write again, I thought I would share something instead.  This video made me laugh (and kind of gape in awe)….

Friday. The calm before the storm.

All my stuff is now at the U of M.

I got my hair trimmed today, so I look all pretty.  🙂

My breakfast is ready in the fridge.

Now just a few more lessons to teach…

and then I go to bed early so I can be up at the crack of dawn and on my way!

Baby Dalton!

Dalton Charles Fritz has arrived! He decided to come just a wee bit early…. last night instead of today (when she was scheduled to go in for a C-section). But everyone is happy and healthy–at least they were when I talked to Luke this morning. Now we just wait for pictures!!!

He was born 7 lb 10 oz and 20.5 inches long.
