I read a book over the weekend–it was a fun read.  It was written by the wife of the comedian we went to see last year.  She discovered she had a large tumor in her brain sitting directly on her brain stem.  The book is about how she discovered it, had it removed, and then had to deal with the aftermath of all of that (one of the complications being unable to swallow for weeks).  As I mentioned she is the wife of the comedian, Jim Gaffigan.  She also does a lot of the writing for him–so they are both very funny.  It was a fascinating read–especially since I’ve never experienced anything like that.  Plus I’m not funny.  (tee hee!) So it’s fun to read someone who is funny.  😉  Oh, yes and she has 5 kids.
