Writing about all the big & little things

Celebrating our 7th Anniversary!

Today, 7 years ago, Tim & I walked down the aisle, starting our new life together.  I can’t believe how quickly seven years has flown by–and it seems like such a monumental number to me.  It’s also hard to believe that we’ve been living in this house for 6 years now.  Looking back, we were so young when we bought our first house.  But we made it through.  And we’ve learned a lot of things along the way.   🙂  We’ve decided that we want to do something extra special for our 10th anniversary, but we’re not sure what yet.  I guess we’ve got a few more years to figure out that will be.

This year we celebrated by going to The Cheesecake Factory (we went yesterday).

We both decided that we wanted to try something different for a change (since we tend to order the same thing everywhere we go…)  So this time I ordered Thai Chicken Pasta & Tim got Beef Ribs.  I was satisfied with the dish, but I don’t think I’ll order it again.  I’ve discovered that I don’t care much for bean sprouts.  The flavor is fine, but I just don’t like how they look (weird, huh?), so if I was to order it again, I would have to ask for something different on the top.  And of course, I ordered a slice of cheesecake to take home (since we were pretty full) and enjoy later.  It was turtle something or other–very rich and decadent.

And Patsy even volunteered to come and watch Chloe for us.  So she came down for church (with the Baker kids in tow) and afterwards we left them all at our house set up with mac-n-cheese-w/-cut-up-hot-dogs.  🙂  Chloe was quite excited to have playmates for a few hours.

It was so wonderful to get out on a real date.  We enjoyed fancy food and delightful conversation.  Good times.  🙂

Here’s to at least 70 more Anniversaries with you, my Love!

Thanks for letting my kids crash your party! They were excited to see Chloe, and they LOVED the Mac “N Cheese w/ hot dogs….great kids food.

Happy Anniversary. Every time I think about your wedding, I have to snicker because of how Abby screamed during almost every picture, but was quite content between shots.

P.S. We’ll watch Chloe (and any others……) when you go somewhere special for your 10th!
