I have an adult piano student who just took a 6 week vacation back to his hometown in India. Before he left he asked if I wanted anything–which took me by surprise. He was quite adamant about wanting to bring something back for me so we finally agreed that he could bring something for Chloe. However, he always comes for his lesson late in the evening so he hasn’t ever actually seen Chloe in person. So I told him she was about “yea-high” and almost 2. He came back last week and brought her a beautiful rust colored dress. Well, I think it’s supposed to be a dress. It actually looks more like a women’s shirt but the sale’s person seemed to indicate that it was supposed to be a child’s dress. The embroidery is so beautiful and rich–it really is quite a lovely dress. Chloe tried it on and she loves it. In fact she didn’t want to take it off… 🙂 And it should be able to fit her for many years to come!
How fun! I remember you mentioning this student when we were driving to meet Mom and Dad for lunch.
It’d be funny to see you wearing it next to a picture of her wearing it. 🙂
That embroidery work is soooooo beautiful!!
Perhaps she can wear it now as a dress, and then again as a teen for a shirt! What a fun gift!
