Tomorrow is lesson sign up day. I look forward and dread it all through the months of June & July. I’ll be happy to have everything figured out for the fall, but it’s a crazy day. Last year I made the very bad mistake of trying to teach during sign-up day–it wasn’t pretty. Plus I hate being the bearer of bad news for those who sign up late–telling them that they’re stuck with the only slot left… Friday evening at 8:30! So I’ve been making phone calls to double check and confirm different things this evening. Trying to tie up loose ends before tomorrow morning. This year I’ve actually given a “start time” for sign-up’s: I won’t accept anything before 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. 🙂 I feel like such a bully saying that, but I want to be fair since someone is going to be stuck with the undesirable slots…

You’re a hot commodity! I don’t think you’re being unreasonable at all to insist on waiting until after 7:00 AM. Seriously, I’d put it off until 8:00 so I could be all the way awake….

I’m so jealous! I can’t imagine people lining up before 7:00 in the a.m. to sign up for lessons with me.
Hope the day goes well, and everyone knows that someone will get the “bad” times, so don’t feel personally responsible. It’s just life and they all know that. My concern always was that I had a big enough opening for the families with multiple members, because who wants to bring a couple kids one day and one on another day? I do that sometimes if the family wants it that way, but I’d hate to have to schedule them that way if they don’t want that.
