I have a lot of pictures from yesterday so I thought I would break it into two days…
Our Easter was wonderful. Jen came over on Saturday night and we watched a movie together before (tidying the house, getting the food ready for the next day) heading to bed. She came over to help watch Chloe on Sunday morning because both Tim and I were on worship team and we had 2 services instead of just one, so Chloe had no one to sit with… so Jen was gracious enough to take care of her for us. Tim and I were at church early getting set up and ready. Chloe was very excited to wear her Easter dress–isn’t it cute?
The rest of Tim’s family came to the service (some to the early one and some to the later one) and then they all made their way back to our house to start getting lunch ready. We did a “special music” song with the band all using “i-instruments” like the i-phone or the i-pad to promote our new series “my-life.” It’s a spin off of the saying “There’s an app for that” so we all played our instruments on an i-thing. It was fun and it ended up working surprisingly well. Plus they had cool lights and effects to go along with it so it was neat. Tim sang into an i-phone using the t-pain app which made his voice sound a little like Cher in “do you believe in love”. 🙂 Anyway it was a good morning.
This is what it looked like (if you look very closely you can see me in the back on the right side).
This second picture cracks me up because it shows me playing the i-pad piano–we had colored lights shining up at us from the floor but my belly and i-pad blocked all of the light from getting any higher on my body. I must have looked like a huge floating belly!
By the time Tim and I finished cleaning up and tearing down it was close to noon, so we arrived back home just in time to help with the finishing touches on lunch. There was a little bit of time before we ate that the kids got to go outside and play with bubbles –and we couldn’t have asked for better weather!
Then after lunch Ryan took the kids over to the park across the street to burn off some energy before Chloe & Kailynn went down for a nap. The girls slept in the same room and I was pleasantly surprised that they didn’t talk to each other but went right to sleep. 🙂 The rest of us lounged around the living room chatting and watching the older kids (and a little bit of their parents helping too…) play MarioKart on the Wii.
We tried to take a family picture but it ended up not working very well–we look a bit morbid since Tim and I are both in black and it was almost too bright outside for a good picture. But here it is nonetheless!
More to come tomorrow!
It looks like you had a great day!
