So, let’s see, where were we?
Oh, yes, the little kids took a nap and we were lounging around the t.v.
After the girls woke up we made our way outside for an Easter egg hunt (a very tiny hunt since we have a tiny yard!). Stephanie put it together and filled the eggs with cute little trinkets. It took them a while to find them all then they had fun looking at the stuff…
Then Patsy had a special gift for each of the kids: The girls got matching tutu outfits and the boys got matching shirts and a skateboard! It was great fun all around. Chloe was ecstatic about the tutu, since she’s very into clothes lately. Plus I just love how it has ice cream cones on it!!! 🙂 We were trying to coordinate when we could have them all wear them for our next gathering when we decided it would be easier just to put them all on NOW since we were together. So, we got a bunch of cute pictures of them in their new outfits.
And of course we had to get a cousin picture. I just love how everyone is growing up so much!
Then the kiddos played some more while the rest of us gabbed some more. Chloe and Allison really hit it off, which I thought was adorable…
We eventually set out all the leftovers and had supper (we still had tons of food left over so it was perfect). Then the kids went upstairs to play in Chloe’s room while the grownup’s shared in some prayer and communion. It was a wonderful reminder of the true reason of celebrating Easter.
And after a day like that I was reminded how blessed I am to have married into such a wonderful family. We can sit around just being ourselves and enjoy uplifting conversations and have a great time. I am truly thankful. 🙂
And you have no idea how happy I am that you married into such a godly family, particularly one that lives close by. So wonderful to be able to get together with everyone so often! Glad you had a full, fun Easter.
