This week seems to be whizzing by–I have so much left to do before the spring recital on Sunday. Luckily I did get the programs finished earlier this week, so that huge project is done. I have to pick up the church key tomorrow morning on my way to my prenatal appointment and then pick up the cakes and more printer ink on Saturday. Which means I can’t finish printing & folding the programs until Saturday since I’m just about out of ink… but I think by then I should have everything else pretty much wrapped up.
I’ve started having quite a bit of what Tim and I believe are braxton hicks contractions. I started having contractions that were only 4 min. apart two nights ago which gave us a little bit of a scare, but after lying down they started to slowly spread out to normal again. I’m glad I have an appointment tomorrow just to check that everything is normal. My hip pain/pressure is still quite painful, so I’m curious what the midwife will have to say about that…
Tim is working on a side job tomorrow night and all day Saturday. It’s actually a small patio for one of my piano students, funnily enough. In fact, I find it quite amusing that he’ll be working on their patio when they come here tomorrow night for their lesson. 🙂 Anyway, that makes for a busy weekend for all of us!
Sounds like it’s good timing that you have an appointment tomorrow and that lessons are wrapping up. Maybe your midwife can give you some ideas about dealing with the pain. All the practice contractions might mean your labor will go fast when it’s time for the real thing 🙂
Your midwife will help you figure out what it normal for you.
I was really thrown by how hard the Braxton Hicks contractions were and how long they go on, but I guess that was just normal for me. Maybe you will be like that, too. Not on the first baby, but on all the other ones. And I did have short labors on all of them, so maybe that is why. But I always worried that I wouldn’t know when labor actually began.
