Writing about all the big & little things

4th of July Weekend

Today after church we went out on the boat.   It was the ideal day for a boating–warm but not sweltering and mostly blue skies.  Tim and Chloe and I went out a little bit earlier before meeting up with the Baker’s.  Even though I remembered to put sunscreen on today, I can tell I’m a bit pink tonight.  I’m actually happy to have a little bit of color after being pasty white compared to Tim for so long.  🙂

Now that I’m getting closer to my due date I find myself wanting to take a picture every day in case it’s my last day being so big–I’ll have a snapshot to remember just how big I was.  I get a kick out of how amazingly round my belly looks in this picture…

Chloe had a delightful time on the boat.  She really isn’t afraid of it at all anymore, in fact she loves going fast and feeling the wind on her face.   After we drove around the lake for a bit with the Baker’s we dropped anchor (actually 2 anchors… after accidentally losing the first on in the water…hehe) and everyone (except myself) jumped in the water.  It was Chloe’s first time in the lake (with a life jacket of course) so she kept a VERY FIRM grip on Tim or Kristen in the water.   It was fun to watch everyone splash around and enjoy themselves on a gorgeous day.

But now I’m completely wiped out.  I wanted to go to bed at 7:15… 🙂  I’ve distracted myself for a bit and it’s almost 8:45 now, so I don’t have to feel too guilty about going to bed somewhat soon.  hehe…

Thank you so much for letting us come out on the boat today! It was beautiful, and we all had fun, minus a bit of sunburn here this evening. 🙂
Get the sleep while you can!

You certainly are a “big Mama!” Only a few days left. How exciting to finally be able to see the little guy so soon. I can’t wait!
