Well, even though our pictures are happy and cute, this is how she really felt…
I’m not sure why, but getting on the bus this morning seemed to be harder on Chloe than last year (for Kindergarten). She was outright crying as she got on the bus. I felt bad. 🙁 But I know it’s just nervous energy, and that once she gets to school and starts doing stuff again she’ll like it. I’m sure there are a lot of kids who are anxious about today. But it still doesn’t help my feeling terrible as she waved through the window with tears streaming down her face.
Plus she was up twice last night with bad dreams. We finally let her sleep on our floor. This is going to be a tough day for her.
The wonderful thing, though, was that Tim was able to come with us down to the bus stop this morning. She really liked that. My girl is so big is so many ways, and yet so little still. 🙂
It chokes me up to read about Chloe’s apprehension. So proud of her for being brave. I hope she has a great day.
I’m proud of her that she just got on the bus and went, even though she really, really didn’t want to. She didn’t throw a tantrum and insist on not going or on you taking her. Tell her I’m very proud of her and that I really hope she had a good day. I thought she had already started last week, because we did here.
Aw, that sad face! And she got no sleep two days in a row, I bet, since her cousin was over yesterday for her birthday.
I hope she came home smiling and happy about all the friends she got to see!

Let Chloe know that Auntie Kristen cries a little bit on the first day of school, too. And let her know I like the color of her shoes! Can I borrow them? 🙂
A first born, compliant even if not glad about it. And soooo much excitement the entire weekend she didn’t have time to recover from all the fun. Hope today went better. I’m sure all of us here are praying for her.♡♡
