Can you believe we have school pictures on the 3rd day of school? Yup. We must be the first school in the district to have pictures taken. I actually really like it because all the kids are still wearing their nice “back to school” clothes, so you won’t stand out if you want to dress up for picture day. Plus all the back to school haircuts are still fresh. And the first week of school we’re all still very excited about getting ready so it’s not a challenge to take a little extra time for a shower and doing her hair. See? It’s a win-win!
This year I went online to order pictures. There are SO MANY options of backgrounds and styles. Didn’t there used to be only one option? Okay, maybe two. But still… I think I had over 40 background options! It was a little overwhelming… We’ll see how they turn out. I’m excited!
I don’t ever remember having a choice about school pictures other then having a makeup day if the first pictures were really bad. I remember some of the background being a terrible color and not flattering for the subject / person. Glad Chloe is excited about school!
Our school has pictures the first day, which is a kind of weird day anyway at Roselawn, with kids going in individually and meeting their teacher with their parents. Kind of like a PT conference before the year starts. So they do pictures that day, too, and I suppose the parents can help with having the child look good, then. Seems to work.
