Tim got me a new fixed camera lens for Christmas (for you camera geeks out there it’s an AF-S Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8 G). It. Is. Awesome.
I admit I was a little negative when he first brought it up. I use my zoom lens a LOT so I don’t trust myself to know how far away I really should be when taking pictures. I figured it would be too much work to try and keep moving back and forth to get the right spot. Well, it turns out, it’s not really as hard as I imagined.
🙂
I’m still learning (and will be tweaking for a long time, I’m sure) but it’s been so much fun seeing the difference in pictures. I love it.
That is called bokeh..when the image is focused on one part and the other part is blurry. Very nice!
Well, then. I love bokeh. 🙂
That is so cool. I never give a different lens a thought (which is good, because it isn’t in our budget, anyway.) But it really does take interesting pictures. Have fun with it!
