Today I spent a long time cleaning out clothes. I had to take out some of Chloe’s old clothes and put in her new summer clothes, then take out my “regular sized” clothes and finally put all of my maternity clothes in my closet (I’m finally to the point where I’ll admit I need all maternity clothes now–no middle ground for me anymore!). Then there is still baby clothes to get stored in the basement… ugh. Clothes, clothes, clothes!
So it was a bit discouraging when after all my work it still doesn’t look like I did anything upstairs. There are still boxes that need a home and still piles of clothes to find more space for in her closet. And it didn’t help that in the middle of my endeavor the bottom rod in Chloe’s closet broke so I have to wait for Tim to fix it tomorrow. 🙁
In the midst of feeling overwhelmed with clothes I dream… I dream of a room filled with pull out tupperware containers all labeled and categorized… a room that can be color coordinated… and easily accessible… and not have a slanted ceiling… and be bright and sunny… and have a checklist of all the items I have and all the items I need still…
But I know I’ve made good headway. And I’ve made really good progress on stocking up on garage sale clothes for both Chloe and Baby Friesen, so even if he were to come early I feel like we would be able to make it quite a while before running out of sizes. I wouldn’t say I’m finished by any means, but hey! It’s only the middle of May, so I have tons more time to keep hunting for bargains.
It’s just so hard to know if Baby Friesen will be a giant like Chloe was–because if that’s the case I need to have clothes stocked up to 24 months for the first year… I guess even if he doesn’t grow like a weed I can just keep holding on to the clothes until he fits them. Better to have too big of sizes than too many too small!
I think its funny that you had decided that Chloe’s room would be done in giraffes before you knew that she was going to be a very tall girl! Good pick of an animal. But tigers don’t really give an idea of what size Baby Friesen is going to be…. Hmmmm.
