I love making desserts. So I tried another recipe from the Pampered Chef book, “Chocolate Macaroon Pizza.” It’s brownie mix for the crust and then a coconut & sweetened condensed milk mixture and almonds toasted, then drizzled with chocolate. Sort of like a really elaborate almond joy candy bar. 🙂
It turned out very similar to the picture (at least I think so) and tasted quite delicious. I’ll have to try another slice tonight to really gauge how good it is… hehe…
In other news we met up with the Baker’s at the beach this morning. It was the perfect day to get out and soak up the sun. However, Chloe is developing an ever growing fear of the water. I’m not sure why, but we’re working on it. She especially doesn’t like water in her face or the feeling of being pushed by the water (so she won’t go past her knees). She does enjoy playing in the very shallow water by the shore which is good and still had a fantastic time.
I’ve pulled out all of Chloe’s scrapbook stuff and set it up in my studio. She is quite interested in seeing herself as a baby and keeps asking to see more and more pictures. It will be great when the book is done and she can sit and look through it whenever she wants to. After looking at herself for a while she asked to see pictures of me as a baby, so I pulled out the book that my Mom made for me, and she enjoyed looking at pictures of me as a baby and toddler which I thought was amusing.
Now all I need is to get the motivation to get myself started again on her scrapbook… it’s the first page that’s always the hardest….
Maybe do the second page first! I picked up a couple of blank scrap books really cheap at a garage sale, so I need to get started doing one, too. But when I think of it, I think of all the other things I really should do, then go do those things and when I’m done, I’ve forgotten, so I watch a movie… Maybe I should put it on my to-do list.
I absolutely love that recipe. Yours, of course, is just beautiful. It makes my mouth water!!
Love,
Mom
And happy anniversary!! 8 years already. Where does the time go?
